Exchange on Novell Network

Exchange on Novell Network

Post by P. Uppe » Wed, 12 Jan 2000 04:00:00

Hi,

I currently have a pair of Novell 5 servers ready to replace over for some
older NT servers. I am down to my last obstacle, which is this : we have an
Exchange 5.5.
server on the network and I'd love to not have to have multiple logins
for people (one for NDS, one for NT to get to the exchange server).

Is there anyway to get Exchange to listen to a Novell username/password
authentication ?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks much.

No, Authentication in Exchange is handled by the NT Domain. Of course you
could use some of the synchronization tools available to help you out. I
believe NetWare for NT supports that.

Is that configuration supported by Exchange? No

So...  If you do run into any problems you are on your own.

Yes there is.  Use ZEN works.

1. EXCHANGE on Novell Network

What is the recommended method of installing Exchange Server on a
Netware3.12 LAN.  There is one Novell FS and 25 clients (mix of Win95 and
3.11 clients).

The Exchange Server will have a dedicated 128K ISDN line to the Internet.
I plan to install DHCP on the NT Server to give the clients an IP address
for surfing.  (Will install Proxy Server in near future).

What's the most efficient/best way for users to login to Novell Network and
the NT Server?

Thanks! and Cheers!
