store.exe causing 100% CPU Utilization

store.exe causing 100% CPU Utilization

I have this problem (as described in MS Support Article Q215924) under 5.5
running SP1. As usual, the answer given on the page is contact MS Product
Support Services to obtain the fix blah blah. Does anyone know if SP2 fixes
this problem, or is there another way to resolve it? The support page states
I should have version 5.5.2528.0 of Gapi32.dll, Mdbmsg.dll and Store.exe - I
have 5.5.1960.3 of Gapi32.dll and 5.5.1960.6 of Mdbmsg.dll and Store.exe.

The version number you cite is beyond SP2 (build 2448). If the
application of SP2 and the Post-SP2 hot fix available at the following
URL doesn't fix the problem (it includes the Q215924 fix) then call MS
PSS and hve them take a look at the problem.

1. Problem: Exchange 5.0 IS Store.exe causes 100% CPU utilization

We're running Small Business Server with Exchange 5.0 with SP2.  Recntly,
the Exchange Information Store store.exe process started causing 100% CPU
utilization.  I believe it's been running that way for several days without
a crash, but the server is (obviously) extremely slow.

I've tried everything in the Microsoft Support Knowledge base, including
some stuff I knew wouldn't work; does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks...
