MS KB article Q157911 describes the hot fix. Call MS Tech Support and
ask for it.

Another simple way around this is to stop the Exchange services manually
before shut down. It's amazing how much this speeds the re-boot process.

Which fixes nothing. And if you forget to stop the Exchange services?
Or if it's some other service that causes the problem? What happens
when your UPS signals the O/S to shutdown?
