The Investment Company Institute, the national association for the
mutual fund industry, seeks an expert Windows NT and Exchange
administrator to join the team responsible for management of our
heterogeneous Sun UNIX and Windows NT enterprise facility. This position
focuses on the configuration, deployment, maintenance, and improvement
of Windows NT services and servers within a complex and heterogeneous
network environment, including the network operating system, messaging
administration via MS-Exchange, and certain Unix server administrative
tasks. The administrator ensures high availability of NT server and
related network resources consistent with sound system and business
management practices.

Minimum qualifications include a BS in Computer Science, Information
Systems or related field; or equivalent education/training and/or
experience plus four years experience with system administration
activities in a LAN environment with two years administering an NT and
MS Exchange environment.In addition, the candidate should bring
technical skills and abilities such as a good knowledge of scripting
and scripting languages (e.g., Perl); a working knowledge of the Unix
operating system; a working knowledge of SNMP or other systems
monitoring facilities; a good knowledge of IP services including
DNS, DHCP and HTTP; and a good knowledge of hardware devices including
routers, network switches, magnetic storage, file servers and printers.
The candidate should also possess strong organizational skills
to manage time in a dynamic environment and to self-manage priorities;
excellent problem solving and *communication skills; and the ability
to apply prior training and/or experience in the completion of
