Event ID: 327 when mailing to public folders

Post by Roeland Kuiper » Tue, 16 Oct 2001 23:16:36

Hi All,

We are running exchange2k enterprise edition (SP1 with Q302451 applied) with
a front / backend config.
And when I mail directly to a public folder configured to forward mail to a
distribution group. (and the mail is also deliverd to the public folder) I'm
receiving the folowing the event log message. And the mail stays frozen in
the local deliver queue while mail is correctly delivered! Very weird but
true! Anyone familiar with this problem?

1. Event ID 327

Hi all.

I am running Exchange 2000 on Windows 2000... this morning I started getting the following events in the Application Event Log:

Source: MSExchangeTransport
Category: Exchange Store Driver
Event ID: 327
Description:
The following call : EcOpenItemForLocalDelivery to the store failed.
Error code : -2147221233. MDB : . FID : . File : .

For more information, click

I have checked on the Knowledge Base, and referred to KB article Q280489... however the contents of that article seems to be related to a different issue, and the article suggested symptoms as Event IDs 327 and 326s occuring - whereas I am only getting Event ID 327s, and my description in my event is different to that outlined in Q280489.

The message almost seem to indicate that it is having trouble delivering something to the information store? However we havent had any loss of emails at all.

So can anyone help shed some light on what the event above could mean?

Regards
Richard
