You may have gotten some bad code. I know the sample version included
with the latest MCSE Exchange exam prep book from MS Press had some major
bugs in it that caused expiration problems. Contact MS and see about
ordering a new CD; I think they also have a patch on their web site
(assuming this is the ultimate cause of the problem). I don't see where
disabling the IIS services would make a difference one way or another. You
also might try the age-old "solution" of uninstalling and reinstalling the
