Error 9318 after removing Ex5.5

Error 9318 after removing Ex5.5

Post by Dusank » Thu, 30 May 2002 22:24:05

We successfully removed Ex 5.5 two weeks ago, but in the
Ex2000 log file there is still 9318 error every 10
minutes. The  error looks like this:
An RPC communications error occurred. Unable to bind over
RPC. Locality Table (LTAB) index: 37, Windows 2000/MTA
error code: 1753. Comms error 1753, Bind error 0, Remote
Server Name <EX5.5 server> [MAIN BASE 1 500 %10] (14)
I read somewhere that the error should go away after 3 or
6 days, but no luck. It's annoying and I don't know what
should I do to make it disappear.

Thanks,
Dusanka

Error 9318 after removing Ex5.5

Post by Dusank » Fri, 31 May 2002 22:14:50

We followed Q284148 on How to remove the last Exchange 5.5
computer from an Exchange 2000 Administrative Group and
Q152959 on How to remove the first exchange server in a
site. It made us a grief to remove the IMC connector so we
had to delete it from AD although it was stopped and not
working previously.
Thanks,
Dusanka

Yes, we removed both, first the SRS and then ADC.
