I have an AIX box that emails to my exchange 2000 box. now
when i try and email from the aix box to a mailbox on the
exchange server, i get this error.

Event Source: MSExchangeIS
Event Category: General
Event ID: 1194
Date: 2/20/2003
Time: 3:10:39 PM
User: N/A
Computer: PANTHER
Description:
Accept clients on external interface MAPIRPC failed with
error 0x4b1.

Can anyone tell me where i can find out how to fix this or
point me in the right direction. Thanks

Error 0x4b1 (decimal 1201) is:
ERROR_CONNECTION_UNAVAIL
"The device is not currently connected but it is a remembered
connection"

I know almsot nothing about MAPI, but based on the error code, I'd
start by looking at your network infrastructure.
