Need help: Unvalid VxD dynalink call from BIOS (02) +000032b6 to device VMM service 193

Hi!

Problem: I had some bad sectors on the harddisk and scandisk resolved
that, but now I get an error when I start W95:

"Unvalid VxD dynalink call from BIOS (02) +000032b6 to device VMM
service 193"

My Win95 CDrom can't run setup because it says that it's not the
right version (Error SU0168).
Hardware: Intel P133 / 32Mb ram / IDE hdd+cdrom / PCI VGA adaptor.

Tried restoring my register file, tried detecting all hardware again,
didn't help.

Is there a solution to this problem or would this be a good time to
get rid of Windows 95 and install Win-NT?

Regards,
Corly Bedacht

1. VxD dynamic link call: NTMAPHLP (02) +00000002 to 004F service 1

I have tried to install an external hard drive to my Dell
Inspiron 8000 laptop. The Windows ME recognizes the drive,
but then goes to a blue screen with the error message: VxD
dynamic link call: NTMAPHLP (02) +00000002 to 004F service
1. Can you tell me a fix that doesn't entail reinstalling
Windows? Thanks.
