Hi,
I've been trying to get perl scripts to run with Folkware httpd and
Win95.
This is their instructions and what happens;
Doesn't work at all unless perl.exe is in cgi-bin dir.Quote:>To run PERL scripts you can put PERL.EXE in any directory.
Done this OKQuote:>Then you need to associate .pl extension with PERL.EXE using
>FileManager or Explorer in Win95.
When the script is run the output just goes to a dos box/shell NOTHINGQuote:> In your HTML page or FORM write
>in action:"/cgi-bin/sample.pl">. FolkWeb will find out what executable
>is associated with this extension if it is not executable itself and run it
>passing script name as parameter.
is returned to the server and nothing happens until I close the Dos
box/shell then I just get a 404 not found error
I tried to get this but link is very slow ( 0.1k/sec) so I gave up.Quote:>Download PERLSAMP.ZIP from software library.
