People

It seems that the hot fix posted for SP2 for NT 4.0 is only for Single
Processor Kernal versions of NT, when applied to Multi Proceosor kernal
versions of NT things don't go well. Can anyone please confirm this ? Does
anyone know how to obtain a multi - porcessor version of the hot fix ?

Please EMAIL any answers as I don't have time to read news groups much,

RTFM. Read the file with the hotfix. You have to copy the
multi-processor version of the kernel manually.

You can get a fix for the specific multi-processor problems on Alpha
systems from Digital. You have to apply it to SP2. Since SP2 is
apparently a disaster, you might want to wait for SP3 where it will be
integrated.
