NT 4.0 WS flood NT 4.0 Server Security Log File

NT 4.0 WS flood NT 4.0 Server Security Log File

Post by Fabio Gav » Tue, 27 May 1997 04:00:00

We have a Nt4.0 server with about 30Pc connected, all with win95, eccept
my WS, which runs NT4.0 Workstation.
The problem is that I have the security log file flooded with events
with ID 538 and 528 (logon/logoff) with me as users.
The problem is that this happens about once per minute..*sigh*
Sometimes this happens also with users logged to win95 machines.
Logoff and logon happen in less than a second (they are contiguous),
since they have the same time.
What's this?

Greetings

1. NT 4.0 WS -> NT 4.0 Server, and back again?

I tried to upgrade from NT 4.0 Workstation to NT 4.0 Server but
think I made a bit of a mess of it. Now I appear to have two OS
on my machine (at boot time it asks which I want to boot to).
Can anyone tell me how to revert back to Workstation and erase
any new files as my machine doesn't like this new situation
(eg, cant find my display drivers, cant find my soundcard,
cant do other things I used to)

In appreciation
Cheers
