Unfortunately no, and that is why I will not buy any system that does not allow me to
get to the CAB files. Look at your Restore disk and see if there is a Win9x folder
or something similar with a bunch of CAB files along with other files. If there is
you may be able to do a repair install by installing over itself. Otherwise if it is
an image style Recovery Disk and no CAB files are discernable you can only format and
reinstall.
