How *NOT* to load WIN3.x drivers

How *NOT* to load WIN3.x drivers

Post by Marco Dan » Thu, 26 Dec 1996 04:00:00

Hi people,

Anybody knows wether it is possible NOT to load some unwanted
drivers (SOUND, for example) when win3.1 starts, and, if yes,
how can it be done? I just tried removing the name from the
system.ini but it seems not to work...

thanks in advance

1. WDCTRL 32bit disk driver not loading (WIN3.1)

The 32 bit file access controller will not load up on windows startup.

Windows says that the WDCTRL 32 bit Disk Driver could not load because of unrecognizable
disk software - list causes of disk cache software and viruses as possible causes
I tried disabling the cache, and have fun the virus scanner a couple of times.

Any other ideas out there?
Thanks in advance
Dave
