How do you change the modem initialization string in NT4. I have been
through all the help files and Peter Nortons NT4 book and haven't been
able to find out how to do it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try Settings => Control Panel => Modems => Properties => Connection =>
Advanced => extra connection parameters

Or if you want to completely override what the manufacturer is using
just AT&F (what ever profile) and then define your chosen settings
in the extra settings field.
