Printing from a DOS program to a COM port

Printing from a DOS program to a COM port

Post by Wayne Thoma » Sat, 26 Apr 2003 11:19:59

Is there a problem with printing to a COM port on XP from
a DOS program? I'm using Foxpro for DOS and it works fine
on Windows 95, 98 and ME but not XP. It will print to a
parallel port but not a COM port.

Thanks for any help you can give me

1. Help: com port & dos program on NT4.0

Hi to all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to let a dos program connect to my modem? My modem works fine on Windows
NT4.0, but when I try a dos program (tradebridge, to connect to a x.400 mailbox) I get the following message:

"The system cannot open COM1 port requested by the application"

Please cc me your answers too.

Thanks in advance,
