ATI Rage Fury Maxx

All new hardware, ASUS board, AMD 2000+XP, 512 PC2100 ram
and oh yea WinXP... Prior to the new stuff I was running
Win98, and everything worked, todate 1 game out of 11
works... not good... the main problem is no video, all
the games hang up on the video/opening movie.
ATI claims that WinXP has the latest drivers on the CD,
the video board has two drive engines, only one will work
because you need the ATI software to adjust the resources
to allow both to work.  So does anybody have any good
ideas...or do I need to buy a new video card...!

I'm guessing that without OpenGL support, you might be out of luck using XP.
Depends on your games, I suppose. Here's what ATI has to say on their site.

From ATI:

The RAGE FURY MAXX driver included with Windows XP does NOT support OpenGL
or ATI Multimedia (DVD) Features.  RAGE FURY MAXX support for Windows XP is
limited to Display Drivers ONLY.

DVD Playback and other multimedia features of the RAGE FURY MAXX Products
are NOT SUPPORTED in this operating system.

Looks like maybe a new card is the way to go.

You won't be able to get both chips working.

It is a limitation of the card in WinNT based OS' (of which Windows XP is a member of).
