Hi,

I've installed a Belkin PCMCIA USB 2.0 card on Windows XP Home SP1, the
installation was correct and the card seems to work perfectly but when I
connect a device the device is not recognized correctly by windows (mouse,
digital headset, hard disk usb2...). Has someone got this card and does it
work ?

Thanks for your help,
Carlos

1. USB Harddisk on Belkin USB 2.0 PCMCIA Card

Hi,

I will test a Belkin-USB 2 PCMCIA Card (with external
Power Adaptor) for a friend who has only USB 1.1 Slots on
his Notebook.

Many devices like the USB Bus powered CanoScan LiDE 20
works fine at the Belkin.
My Notebook is a Gericom Supersonic Force 2,5 GHz.
I had Windows XP SP1 with no additional fixes.

I had only a problem with a Fujitsu MHS2040AT USB
Harddisk.

When I attach the Drive to the Belkin (external powered!)
there is after the initial beep and the "New Hardware
found FUJITSU MHS2040AT USB Device" message an Hardware
installation error (The LED on the Harddisk lights red
most of the time).

When I attach the same USB Harddisk on an native USB 2.0
port on the same notebook the Disk works fine.

Who can help me.
