Hi,

In WinXP HE in registry
key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters]
is value MaintainServerList default set to Auto
("MaintainServerList"="Auto"). How other values can I set to this value name
("enable", "enabled", "on" ... ????).

Thnx,

Setting MaintainServerList in WinXP

If the key is "Yes", that is the enabled state, set it to "No" if you
want to disable Master Browser, and set it to "auto" to let XP*it
up by itself.

However, the simplest way to control master browser is using
services.msc to manage the "Computer Browser" service.

1. Changing MaintainServerList Default Value

We are attempting to change the (Default) Value for maintainserverlist in
the Vnetsetup in HKLM key using a policy template.  However when the policy
is run it creates a additional (Default) string value rather than changing
the default value for maintainserverlist.
