Very Computer

I upgraded from ME to XP on my Gateway, and immediately
it wouldn't recognized the floppy drive. Hours of
attempts online at MS and on the phone at Gateway have
pointed at each other as the problem. Anyone have that
problem after an upgrade? Can anyone help tell me how to
get my floppy recognized by XP? I'm sure it's a MS issue
in the XP driver, but they claim it's plug & play driver.

Thanks, Alvin, but those aren't the problems I have. the
drive isn't recongized in the system folder, or even when
you try to use a:/. I've tried everything from re-
installing and even physically checking the plug inside
the computer.

Did you do a clean install or did you install XP over ME
as an update? If the later, then I suspect that you have
some leftover crapola from ME thats messing up your
floppy drive.
