The 'carrot' marks the point at which characters will appear when typed at
the prompt.. why do you feel the need to be rid of this feature in order to
repair your OS?..

Type prompt $p. What's a carrot (I know they're red and taste 'orrible)? And what is the absense of the $g (>) supposed to achieve?

"We must make clear to the Germans that the wrong for which their fallen leaders are on trial is not that they lost the war, but that they started it. And we must not allow ourselves to be drawn into a trial of the causes of the war, for our position is that no grievances or policies will justify resort to aggressive war. It is utterly renounced and condemned as an instrument of policy." (August 12, 1945, Department of State Bulletin. )

1. WFW311 exits to DOS screen for no reason??!!

Hi all,

My WFW311 would would exit to DOS screen without intervention. I
would, for example, startup Windows, leave it on, and in, say, five
minutes Windows will exit to a DOS screen.

Do anyone know where the problem could have come from? I am using a
Pentium-133 with 32MB and ELSA WinnerPro/X video card with 2MB RAM.

Any advice is appreciated... thanks in advance
