Ordering on line a blip came across the screen telling me
my memory was low -- I deleted many files and basically
nothing else is on my computer. Now what ??????
Also -- all my e mail is being returned as undeliverable.
What's up??????

Did the "blip" pop up in the middle of your screen and say your low click
here? Or did it pop up down near your clock and say "low virtual memory"?

Was it "low memory" or "virtual memory is low"?

A very substantial difference.

On the chance that it was virtual memory here are two common causes of
that message:

1.  Low virtual memory warning at startup or while you are using the
computer.

Open Control Panel - System - Add/Remove Programs and look for an entry
for the Intel Application Accelerator.  If it is listed then select it and
click on Add/Remove to uninstall it.  Reboot the computer and your problem
should be resolved.

And if the Intel Application Accelerator was installed then you should go
to www.intel.com and download the latest version of the Intel Application
Accelerator and install it.

2,  Low virtual memory when you go to shut down the computer.

That specific problem - low virtual memory error at shutdown (and only at
shutdown) has been associated with the Live Update feature in Norton
Internet Security.

Symantec has posted a fix for this problem.  Download the file LRSETUP.EXE
from http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/files/lu/lu.html and run it.

Good luck
