1. OUTLOOK EXPRESS FATAL ERROR
I'm using OE6 with Win98SE. I tried to create an additional folder tonight, and
OE died. Each attempt to reopen it is greeted with the dreaded "This program
has performed an illegal operation ...". If it means anything, the error
message is:
MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in module MSOE.DLL at 016f:007c5a39.

There must be something in the Canberra air because, like John Saxon in his post
earlier today, I have a very large Message Store (even larger than John's
<g>) -- 2Gb of space, with 1,001 .dbx files (ie, folders and sub-folders) and
3.9Mb in folders.dbx. I have been aware of some of the dangers of this, and I
have for some time complied with all PA Bear's caveats (except that I clear out
Deleted Files monthly rather than daily).
After the problem explained above, I moved the Message Store to another
location, and OE opens fine with no messages. So, two questions:
1. Is there a limit of 1,000 .dbx files which may have caused my problem?
2. How can I best reinstal my Message Store? (after which, I will, as PA Bear
recommends, move much of it to another identity).
Thanks in advance for your help.
