According to some research I once did to answer the opposite question
for an IE5 user you might need to use a BHO to use GroupWise.
If you have been battling malware and following the advice of some
posters you may have disabled that facility. E.g. make sure that
Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart)
is checked (in IE Options, Advanced tab)
