Cached files-hitting Reload in IE 5 still loads page from cache

I'm running IE 5 on Mac OS 9.1 through a proxy server.  I'm having problems
viewing pages I have updated.  Instead of showing the updated page when I
hit Refresh, it still shows the old page.  I've even deleted all my IE cache
files and history files.  It still loads the old page.

P.S. If you're a PC user, please don't bother replying to this message
unless you have a possible solution (in other words, don't reply 'if you
were using a PC, you wouldn't be having this problem')

There is an aspect of Internet Explorer's behavior that I don't understand.
When I save or print a page it always seems to me that IE slowly fetches the
whole thing again from the Web server instead of assembling it from what's
in cache. After all, I'm looking at a complete page. What's actually going
on?
