Viewing Symbols (Trademark, Copyright, etc.) in IE 6

Viewing Symbols (Trademark, Copyright, etc.) in IE 6

Post by Richard J » Sat, 03 May 2003 03:51:38

First thought this was a FrontPage issue . . . Lately when
I surf, I see a lot of ? symbols listed in pages -- where
a TM or C or other symbol might be expected.  In a
FrontPage site I'm creating, I insert the Trademark symbol
and it displays in browser as ?.  When I preview using
Netscape, other formatting is compromised, but I can see
the TM symbol OK.  Is it IE6, FrontPage, both, niether?

Any help in resolving will be greatly appreciated.

Oops, hit 'Enter' before finishing!

Check this URL (watch line-wrap):

(scroll down about half-way, to "Getting the Right Encoding")
