It must be some security setting, but I've yet to figure it out.  Any
suggestions?

There are a few possibilities. Some are on the sender's end, and some may be
on your end.

1. IE6 will not open ".jpg" and ".gif" files when double-clicked.

I have been using IE6 with WinME since August with no
problems.  Suddenly today - IE6 will not open ".jpg"
and ".gif" files when double-clicked.  HTML files open OK
and if the ".jpg" or ".gif" file is coded into that HTML
file, it displays OK.  Other apps - such as Outlook,
Paint, Image Preview, QuickTime, AOL - all open ".jpg"
and ".gif" files OK.

Any ideas?

2. Screen Protecting/Cleaning

3. Can't Open Graphic Attachments without "Yes" or "No" Box

4. Win95 Video decompressor

5. Win 95 won't "Quick View" files ie: JPG

6. Windows file.

7. "Send To" Used in Program's "File open" Menus

8. XP, Netbeui and NT

9. "windows cannot find program.exe needed for opening files of type "file" "

10. Setting the default view in the"Choose File" "Open File" window

11. All 'search' boxes open pre-filled w/ "The"

12. Order of files in "Open File" dialog box
