image and sound content analysis, image and sound processing, paradigms and

scientific content and relevance to the workshop. A Springer-Verlag book with
all the accepted papers is planned.
---------------
The workshop will take place just before the Eurographics'99 Conference,
at the same location. As such, it will provide an important opportunity to
researchers planning to attend/present at either event, to spend more time
exploring topics of common interest. The workshop will be held in two days,
with paper presentation and discussion sessions, at Settore Didattico,
Universita degli Studi di Milano, Milan, Italy. Detailed information about
Milan, travelling and accommodation can be found at the Eurographics'99 Web
