EG Multimedia'99 will cover technological areas of media production,
processing and delivery. Special focus will be placed on issues related
to media convergence. These include approaches to and proposed standards
for the integration of TV and the Web, as well as image and sound content
analysis, image and sound processing, paradigms and metaphors for
multimedia authoring and display. Multimedia content authentication,
security and e-commerce are also relevant to this workshop.
Preliminary Program
-------------------
The workshop will start with a keynote address by Glorianna Davenport, MIT
Media Lab. It will include about twenty technical papers and two interactive
demos selected by the International Program Committee. Details are available

Schedule and Location
---------------------
Tuesday September 7, 9h00 a.m. to Wednesday September 8, 17h30 p.m.
The workshop just precedes the annual Eurographics Conference EG'99
and it will be held at the same location in Milan, Italy.
Non-presenters are welcome, but the workshop is limited to about 50
participants to foster the discussions planned after each session.
Please note that the deadline for early registration is July 30, but
hotels should be booked as soon as possible.
