Very Computer

This is really weird.  ive got media player 7.1, the latest version, but one
day, i opened it and all my playlists and my whole library had disapeared!!!

i could just add my files again but it wont let me add to the library....
when i try, it just says "unspecified error".  i cant add using the "search
for media" option either!  in this case, it says "an error occured while
searching for media.  The drive u selected may be invalid or unreadable"

But i can still play single media files.  but they dont appear in the
library.

Ive uninstalled, and reinstalled but its the same problem!  i have no idea
what to do.  ive searched they online database of problems and not seen
anything like this.   WHAT DO I DO????   Im so sad  :-(   I need media
player   :-(

Hi.  I have exactly the same problem.  I have reinstalled WINDOWS 2000
as well.  (Not the clean install, I am not that upset yet.)  It is
behaving as if it cannot see the NTFS file system for adding to the
library or searchinfg for media but will play the file if selcted with
open or double clicked from explorer.  Any ideas are welcome.

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH  ZACHD!!!!

For anyone else who has this problem, what i did was find the following file
"wmplibrary_v_0_12.db" and renamed it (i think deleting it would also be
ok), and then WMP made a new fresh file named "wmplibrary_v_0_12.db", and
this worked fine!!!!

Hi Again.

This fix did not work with my problem.  The directory suggested does
not exist on my machine nor does the file wmplibrary...  I installed
MDAC and nothing changed.  Any other ideas.

it may be different for you as ur running win2000.

go to that site that zachd mentions and see there.
