Broadcast TV (from TV tunner) to the intranet

Hi,

I have a tv tunner (Pinnacle systems's Studio PCTV Rave) installed in my
computer and my computer is connected to a network.
I hope to broadcast the tv screen to the network.
Someone suggest me to use windows media encoder. I open it and it seems so
straight forward to use. However, it doesn't work !!
I have chosen the tv tunner as the video device and the sb live as the audio
device. When I start encoding, i can hear the voice of the TV channel but I
cannot see the screen !! I have tried to broadcast it as an url as well as
save it as a file. Both fail when I tried to use Media player to play it
(the url or the file). They are black screen with a very clear but very weak
sound.
What is my problem? is there anything besides windows media encoder in order
to achieve my task?

regards,
Raymond

Maybe you should try a different application
Try  Snapstream , I think it's a more usefull application
for broadcasting to a network.

I am interested in doing something similar so was watching this post to see
what happens. Unfortunately Snapstream PVS only supports USB version of PCTV
tuner, and I think users have to have proprietary viewer as well (altough
I'm not sure on this)

1. Trully Amuzed TV Tunner -:))

Nope Ed.
I am feeding my Emuzed tunner directly from the Huges
Satelite box RF output (channel 4), by using a high grade
70 Ohm cable. The projection TV is also hook up directly
to the video line output of Satelite box. I do not use
any signal splitters because they are lowering the signal
level and increasing noise level. Both are off course
detrimental to the quality of picture.
