The following archives are recent additions to ftp-os2.nmsu.edu
(128.123.35.15) and will be posted to the comp.binaries.os2 newsgroup
this week.  These archives are also availble via anonymous ftp from
ftp-os2.nmsu.edu in the directory pub/os2/new.  If you have any

os2speed.zoo - Allow any Desqview-aware program to give up timeslices in
               OS/2 2.0 so that the rest of the system won't bog down
               when things like DOS communications programs are run.
               The combination of Boyan 5.0 and DSZ/GSZ Zmodem works very
               well with this setup (Telix is not Desqview-aware).

YES IT IS! I am running Telix right now with OS/2SPEED and except for
during downloads and big screen redrawrs, the line is very flat and low.
It pulses with comm actvity as you would expect an OS/2 aware program to
be. Telix has been DV aware for years now.

That's strange.  I've installed OS/2 Speed and am running Telix,
but the pusle line stays a flat line at the top of the chart,
meaning most of the cpu is working on Telix.  What DOS
settings do you have on exactly?  I've been fiddling with all
the options but can't get that line to come down at all.

I am not at my PC now, but in all likelihood, i would have background
exec on, comm hold on, IDLE sensitivity and the other idle thing set so
the time is 0 and the limit is set to allow OS/2 to drop the priority
(not sure of the details but read the descriptions and the meaning is
pretty clear). Apart from that, a little memory fiddling and stuff but
nothing that should effect Telix.
