Bad move: all .DSK files for 2.1 CSD in a single .ZIP file

I wonder who thought it would be a good idea to compress all the .DSK
files for the 2.1 CSD into a single .ZIP file on ftp.cdrom.com?  I had
to download 3 times.   The first two times, I got about 10M of the 25M
archive before the FTP transfer aborted.  So in effect, I downloaded
the files almost twice.  It sure would have been nice if I could have
restarted from where the transfer left off.

Then when I finally got a good download, I noticed that the .ZIP file
was in the older PKZIP 1.x format, not 2.X.

Boy, compressing those files sure saved *me* a lot of time! :-(

The individual .DSK files are available on ftp-os2.cdrom.com too!  They
are in the 21servpak directy,  as  opposed  to  the  patches  directory
where the humungous ZIP file is!

Sorry, but not last weekend.  I spent the entire weekend trying various
schemes to ftp that big-a'ed file because the only one with the
individual 5.25" DSK's was watson.  I finally had to ftp a Unix ftp "batch"
program, compile it, and run it to get the missing disks, since I don't
have a 24 Meg Internet account and probably never will (not without
my own SLIP, at any rate).

Well, I downloaded the first few DSK files on Saturday,  and  the  last
few on Sunday (when I could get back on to cdrom!!)! The  middle  bunch
I got from another site. Incidentally,  I  downloaded  the  MMPM  disks
again (20 & 21) from ftp.cdrom on Sunday evening because I  was  having
problems with them. So, they were all there last weekend!
