LIBUNI.DLL and EMX

LIBUNI.DLL and EMX

Post by Hans-Juergen Taenze » Tue, 25 Nov 2003 06:11:00

Hallo,

I want to port a Linux/DOS32/Win32-Programm (C++) to OS/2 with EMX.
For some reason I dont understand I get references to LIBUNI.DLL.

Because I dont have an OS/2-Installation, a friend of me is doing the
compiling. I dont have direct access to the PC. So i cant look up the
documentation.

My question: How do I link to LIBUNI.DLL. What switches do i have to set
for g++?

Thanks

Which program is it?

It's surprising how many Unix apps will build on OS/2 with hardly any
effort.

It is an C++ program of mine, using the SQLite-Engine from

Yes, but I don't have much experience with OS/2. My Problem now is to link
to LIBUNI-DLL.

You are using some unsupported configuration.  Install EM's compilers.
All will run smooth (unless you need things newer than 2.8.1 with your C++).

Hope this helps,

Hi,

you would need to include import library libuls.lib  in your link step.
You will find that library in the OS/2 toolkit in the LIB directory.

The reason of the problem was, that there were two different installations
of emx. Now that this is fixed, there are no problems any more. The libs
are found by compiler-magic.

Thank you for your replay.

1. Lotus Approach - Libuni.dll sys3175 problem

I'm getting a Lotus Approach abend in LIBUNI.DLL

This is both before and after the v1.1.1 update.

It only happens on 1 machine on other machines it
works fine. So I suspect a configuration problem.
I've go over the config.sys checking all path and
environment settings and everything looks fine.
I'm looking for some ideas as to what to try.
This is on warp4 with FP10.
Thanks
