Win/os2 support

Win/os2 support

Post by Brent R. Scot » Fri, 15 May 1998 04:00:00

I have a coppy of Windows 3.11 and a copy of OS/2 warp connect 3.0. I
would like to install win/os2 support on m new machine when it comes
just for the sake of being able to run a few windows based applications.
How do I install the software and how should I format my harddrive
(partitioning, fat vs. HPFS, boot manager, etc.) Thanks for any help
anyone can give.

Install DOS/Windows in a FAT partition. After this install OS/2 an any FS
type you like.
OS/2 will autamatically detect the Windows environment and if you select to
use DOS/Windows support at installation time everything will work just
fine.

1. No Win/OS2 support

I recently installed a big Hard disk in place of an older smaller hard
disk which had Warp on it.  I also had Win/OS2 support since I installed
it over Dos/Win3.1.  After putting in the new hard disk, I reinstalled
OS/2 Warp, but I noticed it didn't prompt me to insert the appropriate
windows disks (which I still have).  I've got the "red" version of Warp
and I don't want to go through the process of reinstalling Dos, Win3.1,
and finally OS/2 Warp, so I'm hoping that there's an easier way of
getting Win/OS2 support.  Any suggestions?
