Mac to Sun Monitor Video Cable?

Mac to Sun Monitor Video Cable?

Post by Alec Kos » Fri, 31 May 1996 04:00:00

I recently purchased a Sun Sparc 1+ system with a 19" color monitor
(Hitachi HM-4119S-DA), and I want to be able to use it with my Mac
system. I'm trying to find a Mac-to-Sun video cable (15 pin to 13w3), as
well as a 13w3 switch box, so that I can switch which machine is using
the monitor without having to continually switch the cables. Any help
would be appreciated. Thanks.

Griffin Technology at http://www.Nashville.Net/~griffin/ has what you need.
They have a DB-15 to 13W3 cable for about $40 (These are custom made). To hook
up the monitor to the mac you will still have to get an adapter. I believe the
4119 is a 60Hz fixed freq monitor. Griffin has a 60Hz adapter that will do the
trick.

As for the switcher, good luck. Thats going to one expensive part...
