Ancient 2GB r^2 drive hookup to SS20?

Post by Mark E. Berr » Thu, 15 Jun 1995 04:00:00

Greetings all,

        I have an old 2GB r^2 drive (A Seagate ST42400N) that
I cannot get my SS20 (Solaris 2.4) to recognize (i.e. format
identifies all drives except the r^2). The drive works fine
on a 4.1.3 IPC- I just want it on my SS20 for convenience. Will
my SS20 support this thing? I have looked through the format.dat
and nothing even remotely comes close to the ST42400N's specs
(as far as I can tell...)

                                Thanks,

                                        Mark
