Have a SS2 with a 1G HD.  I would like to add an add'l 2G drive, but
when I reboot the machine does not recognize it.  I have tried 'reboot -
r' but it does not pick it up.  Any suggestions?

At the OK prompt, try typing

        probe-scsi

If you see the disk, type

        boot -r

If you don't see the disk, then check the cabling...

Check out the termination. Are you adding the drive internally or
externally ? The drive already in the box might be configured to be
terminated - if so anything else on the SCSI bus will probably not be
seen. Take termination of ALL DRIVES and put and external terminator on
the back of the SS2 this generally sorts out that problem.

Other than that follow Rick's advise. BTW  If you don't have Solaris 2+
then boot -r won't work
