Very Computer

We've got an HP Deskjet 870CXi printer that we want to attach to one
of three 735's-- one of the machines is running HP-UX 9.05, the other
two are at 10.20.  Are there any drivers that can take advantage of
the advanced features of this printer?  And if so, where can I find
them?

HP-UX 10.20 comes with an interface script for Deskjet 850, which
works with the 870 also, but as for advanced features... well.

There is also a Ghostscript driver for 850/855, which also works
fairly well but as yet can't take full advantage of the printer's
features (it knows about C-Ret and has options for different
media types though).  It can be found by following a link from
Ghostscript home page.

There isn't anything for HP-UX that'd allow doing things like
aligning the printheads or even querying the printer about
out-of-paper or out-of-ink status. :-(
