I've a B2000 test machine running HP-UX B.11.00 that I'll like to downgrade
to 10.20

Tried rebooting thru 10.20 core CD but doesn't seems to work.

Is there any known methods of downgrading the O/S??

This has to work. At the PDC the machine does not know anything about
HPUX Version.

Maybe your Core CD is not new enough for the B2000. I think you need at
least version 6/99 or 12/99

If you have the right version:

What says search on the boot menue?
It should be something like:
P0      8/12.2.0        CDROM (or "read only media", I do not remember)
P1      8/12.6.0        random access media

if no:
something is wrong with your CD-ROM drive or with the SCSI bus. Check
then whether you are able to mount this under 11.00

if yes:
enter
"boot P0 isl"

A question will come "Interact with IPL?" -> enter "Y"

Does this work?

If no: What kind of error do you get?

If yes

enter "INSTALL"

If this does not work -> what kind of error do you get?
