1. Toshiba XM-3301 CD-ROM driver and HP715/80
We have a Toshiba XM3301 CD-ROM driver which was used to be
connected to a HP 9000 715/50 workstation and worked fine. We have a
new HP9000 715/80 workstation installed recently. When we try to install
software from the CD-ROM driver which is connected to the HP 715/80's
SCSI adapter directly, the update program seemed to have problem to recognize
the file on the CD. Then we put a HP 1300T Optical Driver between
the CD-ROM driver and the HP 9000 715/80 workstation, the update program now
could install the software. Is this noraml?
