Printing from Win95 to HP network printer

Wouldn't this question be more appropriate for one of the windoz lists? :)

Anyway.... provided your printer on HP is configured to work correctly with
lpr, you should install TCP/IP Printing on your windoz box, then (if I
remember it correctly) you install a printer and connect it to some
pseudo-port which is TCP/IP printing... and that should be it.

What about JetAdmin ? Downloadable from www.hp.com;
Available for NT, 95, 98 HP-UX, Slowaris etc.
Works just fine.

Install the driver that comes with the JetDirect card. Or find an lpd
printer driver for Win95. Or if you're already printing from a UNIX box,
install Samba on it.

Whats this got to do with hpux?

Hello

if the printer has an ip you can do this with jet direct software for win95
or you install the HPLJ4 on a NT server and share them.

1. How to print from Win95 PC to printer on HP9000?

How do I print from a Win95 (and win 3.x) PC on an HP LaserJet attached
to our HP 9000 box?

I'd rather not print via NFS, if needed we could put the printer directly
on the network, but is it possible to get JetDirect software for PC's?

Thanks
