Problems with datio under HPUX 10.01

We seem to have some difficulties with the new IO device files under HPUX
10.01. In particular, using the datio command with our DAT 6400 2000 DC
drive does not work. We get the error

/dev/rmt/0mnb: No rewind/UCB style TAPE device required

after giving the command

datio -i /dev/rmt/0mnb

which seems inconsistent. Which is the correct device file to use in order
to raed/write with datio in compressed mode to our DAT?

I have a big Problem with my hp9000. The workstation can't boot.
After the line

/sbin/ioinitrc

then the system reports:

INIT: SINGLE USER MODE
su: your own ID is unkown

[...] loops
