Paren highlighting

Paren highlighting

Post by Sebastien Car » Sat, 21 Jun 1997 04:00:00

Can anyone tell me in ksh mode only [ ... ] are considered as paren
highlighting and not also the ( ... ) or the { ...} ???
This is kinda annoying.
It is the 2.9 ksh-mmode.el version, running on XEmacs 20.2

Thanx for any answer,

                                                        Seb

Do you get the following modeline?

(Shell-script Font[ksh88])

It tells you that sh-shell is set to ksh88. If the [...] expression is
missing it will default to what SHELL is set to.

I get [], {}, and () paren-matching in ksh88 shell-script mode.

You can use C-c : in shell-script mode to perform sh-set-shell
manually.

You might have to toggle font-lock mode after that.

Good Luck,

Adrian

1. Paren highlight question

Hi,

I know when I used to use gnu Emacs, there was an option that you can
turn on so that if the matching paren is out of your screen but
exists, the who region between the parentheses is highlit.  (normally,
I only highlight the parentheses themselves)

Mic-paren has something similar, except it quotes the text where the
matching parentheses is found, but it would be nice if the region was
highlit as well, but only of course if the matching parenthesis is out
of the view area.

Has this been implemented in XEmacs?

Thanks.
