Viper Not doing 'cw'

Post by Colin For » Thu, 23 Mar 2000 04:00:00

Hi,

I've just installed xemacs on my RedHat 6.1 Linux machine.
Everything seems great apart from two things first:

(1) (warning/warning) Autoload error in:
/usr/apps/lib/xemacs/xemacs-packages/lisp/lookup/auto-autoloads:
 Cannot open load file: mule

This happends when I open emacs. I've installed mule-base but can't see
to get rid of this....

and secondly:

My 'cw' (change word) command does not work in viper mode? It just

end of the word and says 'void-function: untabify'

Any Ideas?
Many thanks
Col.

The lookup package was misclassified; it is a MULE package and MULE
support in XEmacs is a compile-time option.  Simply remove the package.

untabify loads from tabify.el; tabify.el is part of the text-modes
package; do you have text-modes installed?

Remove the lookup package. It doesn't work on a non-mule XEmacs. This
could very well solve your other problem as well.

I removed the lookup package. It got rid of the problem shown but
viper 'cw' 'c$' commands still do-not work?

The 'dw' 'd$' commands work fine?

Any Help?
Col.
