Could not copy temporary files to the output directory.

Could not copy temporary files to the output directory.

I'm getting an annoying issue with my XML intellisense docs where
whenever I go to recompile my ASP.NET solution, I receive the
messages:

Could not copy temporary files to the output directory.
The file 'Project1.xml' cannot be copied to the run directory.  Access
is denied.

I saw a KB that detailed a way to work around the pdb and dll issues
and this worked great, however I'm still seeing a problem with the xml
docs. Any ideas on ways to fix this?

Thanks,

Stacey Roach

1. Could not copy temporary files to the output directory (again!!)

I am getting this error too, and the KB article everyone points to
(http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q311/4/91.asp)
doesn't cure it.

Here's the usual info:

Microsoft Visual C# .NET
.NET Framework (SP2)
I have only one project in my solution

Everything was compiling fine untilI tried to create a Custom Server
control.  Now I get this error constantly, even though I've removed
the .cs file with the custom server control in it from the project.
When I delete the .dll that gets built (after first having to quit
Visual Studio to free the process lock), everything builds fine (the
first time).  Subsequent builds all fail with this error.

Help!

Thanks!
