PDE toolbox initial conditions

PDE toolbox initial conditions

Is it possible to have different initial conditions for different
subdomains when solving a parabolic PDE with the Matlab PDE toolbox? I
know how to define different PDE coefficient values for the different
subdomains, but not initial conditions.

For a geometry ('lshapeg') with initial values 1, 2 and 3 in subdomains
1, 2 and 3 respectively you can e.g., do it in the following way:

Quote:>> [p,e,t]=initmesh('lshapeg');
>> [C,A,F]=assema(p,t,0,1,'1!2!3');
>> u0=A\F;
>> u=parabolic(u0,...)

We plan to directly include the possibility to specify initial conditions
in a future version of the toolbox.
