Hi,
I have try to replace my code from using nlinfit to be lsqcurvefit,
but somehow it doesn't work.
If anyone would be able to show me some example how to use
lsqcurvefit, I would appreciate it.
any different?

<SNIP wants to replace a function call with another>
X = [100, 2], y = [100,1]
function yhat = inelasticFunction( b, X )
yhat = b(1)+ b(2)*log(X(:,1))+X(:,2).^b(3) ;
return
WEll I use this function for both lsqcurvefit and nlinfit, but it
works for nlinfit only.
Moreover, I looked it the document #27840 from mathworks website it
does use something strange. [command for lsqcurvefit/lsqnonlin]
e.g.
function err= inelasticFunction( b, X, ydata )
yhat = b(1)+ b(2)*log(X(:,1))+X(:,2).^b(3) ;
err = ydata-yhat; return
Well this will return err, right? but in Help, it said we need to
return "yhat" --> How does it work then?
Hi,
I have a data serie on which I would like to fit a nonlinear model. For
this I use the function lsqcurvefit. This looks like it works, but only
1 of parameters get updated, the others stay constant. The call is like
this:
options=optimset('Diagnostics','on','Display','iter');%,'LargeScale','Off', The problem occurs both with the LargeScale algorithm and with the Why does the algorithm update only one parameter?
