The question is: What is a good _recent_ textbook for a junior/senior
level computer architecture course? This course follows a Digital
Logic Design course and an Assembly Language course. Currently we are
_Computer Architecture and Organization_, by John P. Hayes, 2nd Ed.,
McGraw-Hill, N.Y, 1988.
Unfortunately, Hill and Peterson's book most recent edition is from
1987. I find the AHPL simulator that can be obtained for the book
a big plus.
I'll summarize the suggestions.
