Qvision 1280/E and AXP 150

Qvision 1280/E and AXP 150

Based on a comment you made previously that a Qvision 1280E MIGHT work,
I did some playing with a Qvision 1280/E and an AXP 150 (aka Jensen, aka
DEC 2000-300) and thought you might be interested in the results.

The SRM 2.2 reported the card as ISA, but it did use it correctly.

The DEC ECU disk had no problems at all recognizing the Qvision 1280/E.

VMS 6.1 / Motif 1.1 didn't see the card at all.

VMS 7.1 / Motif 1.2-4 saw the card and would use it, but only at
1024x768.  Attempting to force the card to 1280x1024 in
DECW$PRIVATE_SERVER_SETUP.COM caused the DECwindows server to crash.

Do you have any suggestions on how to get 1280x1024 resolution to work?

Thanx!

BTW: With both a Q1280E and Q1024E installed, VMS 7.1 recognized both
cards and created both GQA0 and GQB0.  I haven't tried to get a multi
head configuration working yet.

1. DECpc AXP 150 is a DEC 2000 AXP was Re: Where are the MULTIA files?

For reasons only known to the former Digital Corporation, the DECpc AXP 150
was renamed to be a DEC 2000 AXP model.  While I can not find a reference to
it as an AXP 150, the Compaq OpenVMS 7.2 S.P.D. lists the DEC 2000 AXP as
supported.
